History

Founded in 1959, the Niagara Falls Soccer Club (NFSC) is a not-for-profit, volunteer-run organization that has been meeting the health, recreational and developmental needs of Niagara Falls children, youth and adults for over 65 years.

On February 18, 1986, the Niagara Falls Soccer Club became an incorporated entity.

NFSC’s main goal was to provide children and youth of all ages, skill-levels and interests the opportunity to play soccer in a supportive and healthy community environment. The NFSC community, or family as we call it, is comprised of the NFSC Executive, Coaches, children and their families all of whom contribute time, skills and resources to the sport of soccer to keep kids fit, teach them to set and achieve goals, encourage team-work and community involvement while facilitating positive activities for the whole family.

In line with these goals and our constant pursuit of a better program, in September 2020, the Niagara Falls Soccer Club was awarded the Canadian National Youth License. At the time of receiving the license, we were one of just 58 clubs to have achieved this level of excellence across Canada. 2020 also saw the club reach new heights in the form of attaining an OPDL franchise. This still stands as the only OPDL franchise in the Niagara Region and "NIAGARA FC" (NFSC's OPDL Division) is now going on 4 years strong!

Our main goal is to keep people of all ages and walks of life in our Community participating and loving the game of soccer!!

To achieve this, we work closely with many funding organizations and host fundraisers to assist families that may not otherwise be able to afford sports for their children. We turn no child away. Our Soccer programs promote health, fitness, a sense of team spirit, friendly competition and most importantly FUN! The Club also has access to tennis courts, six outdoor playing fields, a walking path, picnic areas, and a refreshing splash pad.

We are very excited to see Niagara's growing interest in our Club and especially our OPDL (Ontario Player Development League) program! The Niagara Falls Soccer Club truly appreciates everyone's continued participation, support, and generosity in making soccer one of the most popular and well-loved sport in the area.
