While it seems as if opening day is a lifetime away, we promise it's closer than it seems. Here are a few tips to make sure your child is ready for the season before they hit the pitch.
Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately to play soccer. Shin pads and soccer cleats are mandatory. Especially in late May and even into early June, mornings can be fairly cold, so layers are a great idea. Also, don't forget to bring water to rehydrate your little players with all the running they will be doing!
Rosters will be sent out roughly a week before the opening day so please keep your eyes peeled on your email inbox. With these emails coming from our registration provider (Sports Engine) they have a chance of getting caught in spam so make sure to check there!
Some helpful tips:
Your child will be getting their uniforms that day, the only game-ready thing you will need to bring are shorts, cleats, and shin pads. Once you arrive you can switch the tops
If you have girls, a tank top underneath always works great for a quick wardrobe change!
You will get soccer socks, so you just put those on over the shin pads, then slip back on the cleats!
Pro tip: Can't find small-sized cleats?
Check out the store "Once Upon a Child". They always have smaller sizes and are in great condition!
Hope this information helps and we look forward to a successful season with all of you!
Looking To Request a Player?
We have a mutual request format for any player requests for all applicable House League divisions. This means that if you wish for your child to play on the same team as another child, you both must request each other. If you do not request each other, then we can not fulfill the requests. We are implementing this to make sure that parents aren't requesting players they don't personally know. If you have submitted your child's registration and forgot to fill out the request line then you can email the club at nfscoffice@gmail.com to make any changes
Thank you for understanding!
