NFSC Rainy Day Protocol for House League Program

Hello Everyone!!!

Just wanted to touch base with you all on what happens when it is calling rain for a Saturday.  Some of you may be new to us, and some of you know the drill, but we all need to be on the same page! :)

Please note:  This is for all who are assigned to teams for tomorrow's Outdoor House League program.

So when it is calling rain, we wait to see what is happening in the morning and check the field and weather conditions.  As we all know, the weatherman is not always accurate!

If it is lightly raining, we will kick on (unless the fields are in poor condition).  However, if it has been downpouring and the fields are soaked and it is still continuing to rain, we may cancel.  We will make that decision in the morning between 7:30 am and 8:00 am.

When we finally (reluctantly) do decide to cancel, we first post to our website on our Home page news feed, then to Facebook/Social media.  I then proceed to send out an email via Sports Engine to all registered individuals.  We ask that you do not call the office as it is difficult to answer phones and make the necessary moves we need to make to cancel fields.  We ask that you just stay posted!!

We do try to reschedule.  It may be at the end of the season with an additional day added on, or we may try to work it into an open night.  We will try to make this day up to the best of our ability, however, with the year being as it is, this may prove to be difficult, but we are going to try.

With that, I hope you all have a wonderful night and I hope to see you all in the morning! :)

Stay tuned..........
