Ready to return for another year of Refereeing?   

Whether you or your child will just be returning for another year of Small Sided Games, or looking to go Professional, together with Ontario Soccer we hope to help the Long Term Official Development within our own Club and hopefully in Ontario!

There are a few things you have to make sure of before you come back for the new season.  This page will help answer any questions you may have on what to do, where to go and what steps to take next!

So you are already a Small Sided licenced Referee and returning for another year.  What are your options?

• You can take the test on the E2E Ref Centre Site (you will probably receive communication from them) to renew your licence for the upcoming season and continue doing small sided games.
• You can take the Small Sided AR Course which is for those who are currently an accredited Small Sided match official and are 13 years of age (by March 31st of the current year) or older. This course will enable you to officiate as an Assistant Referee during 9 v9 days. Successful graduates are automatically registered with Ontario Soccer and do not have to register again until the following year. *PLEASE NOTE: You must be a current registered Small Sided match official to take this course. Registration is only accessible through your current Small Sided account.*
• If you are 14 years of age (as of March 31st) and would like to move up to the Entry Level which allows you to do the 9 v 9 games and 11 v 11 games, you can search for an Entry Level Course that is being held in your area to obtain your licence for this.

• Every year, you have to renew your certification by going online and taking the re-certification test.  (they will send you an email notifying you when this is open to be completed and the deadline)  There is an annual fee to renew as well.
• You must complete an annual fitness test.
• There is a Futsal Course available if you would like to become certified to be a Match Offical for Futsal.
• You may look into the Upgrading programs that are provided and outlined by the Ontario Soccer Long Term Official Development program. (See below for the link)
